Businesses were nominated earlier this year, and after a review by an independent panel of judges, Cumberland Diamond Exchange was selected as one of the Top 25 companies. Candidates were evaluated based on the criteria published by the U.S. Small Business Administration. Those criteria include staying power, growth in number of employees, increase in sales or unit volume, current and past financial standing, innovative products and services, response to adversity, evidence of contributions to aid community projects and overall management philosophy.

The Top 25 were recognized at the Cobb Chamber’s First Monday Breakfast on June 3. The Cobb Chamber of Commerce is a member- supported business organization working to maintain a healthy economy by bringing business and industry to the area, helping established firms grow and building the community through outreach and service.
