We are pleased to announce the "Bride of the Month" for August:
Mrs. Elizabeth Johnston!

Elizabeth married Ryan Johnston on April 10th at Naylor Hall in Roswell, GA.
The beautiful bride shared the following about their experience at Cumberland Diamond Exchange: "Like many modern couples in their 30s, Ryan and I had begun the conversations of getting engaged and planning what our lives would look like with each other. One day, Ryan had planned a little date for us to look at rings. To say I was nervous was an understatement! This was a major step in our relationship, of course!
Luckily, the minute we walked into Cumberland Diamond Exchange, my tensions eased as we met Amy. Amy was so calm and easy and refreshing. She never asked us any cheesy questions and honored our individual styles. I felt like I could ask her anything! We chatted for a bit, and she understood my style immediately and led us in the right direction. She was completely conversational and lovely; she felt like a real friend!
When Ryan proposed in North Carolina in December, I was actually completely surprised in all the best of ways! We knew we also didn’t want a long engagement, so between December and April, Amy truly became a friend of ours! She always remembered who we were and what we’d been chatting about previously. She helped us pick out our bands and also helped with some resizing.
As a bride, I cannot express my gratitude for Amy and CDE enough. Ryan and I never walked out feeling uneasy or like we had been upsold. We felt so welcomed by everyone each time we visited. Amy is honest and real— she’s the person you want in your court when you’re going through such an exciting time in your life, and Ryan and I are forever grateful and certainly will be back!"
Thank you for letting Cumberland Diamond Exchange play a part in your beautiful wedding; we wish you both the very best in your life together!

Happy birthday to all of our friends born in August! Peridot, August's birthstone, is known as the “extreme gem” because it’s found in harsh conditions, such as volcanic rocks. This gemstone symbolizes peace, good fortune, and happiness. It is also said to balance your mind, calm emotional storms, aid in digestion, and prevent insomnia.
This gemstone comes in several color variations, from yellowish green to brown. The bright lime green and olive green hues are most popular. Learn more about peridot here or shop here.
Don't be green with envy, even if it's not your birthstone, peridot is the perfect summer shade to brighten up your wardrobe.
